Experience Yoga at Milia Mountain Retreat

Natour Lab in partnership with Yoga instructor Angeliki Rebelou  offers a unique 4-day Retreat: Boost your health and awaken your senses through vinyasa yoga, atunne to nature with mild outdoor activities and discover the unique gastronomic world of Western Crete.


1st day

Evening briefing.
Dinner at Milia restaurant.
First night in Milia Mountain Retreat.

2nd day

07:30-09:00 Vinyasa Yoga:morning activation class. From the top of the head to the tips of the toes, simple to intermediate asanas and exercises to activate our body, mind and conciousness.
10:00  Join the guided morning hike in the trails of Milia and enjoy the sea view.
Free Time- Resting
13:00 Lunch at Milia restaurant.
16:00 Participate in our evening Cooking Workshop.
Introduction to seasonal cooking and the culture of the Cretan gastronomy. Experiential workshop of a seasonal 5-dish menu. Around the monastery table of Milia and everybody’s participation, we mix our ingredients, creating unique tasteful combinations inspired by traditional recipes.
19:00-20:30 Relaxing Hatha Yoga at sunset. Gentle concious movement synchronized with the breath. Asanas and Pranayama to decompress the hidden tension, followed by guided relaxation.
20:30 Dinner.

3rd day

7:30-9:00 morning Vinyasa Yoga: a sequence to root and ground your practice.
10:30 We pick up our natural food supplies from the Milia organic garden.
11:00- 14.00 Participate in our morning Cooking Workshop. Introduction and Workshop of everyday food production.
Based on our ingredients (flour, olive oil, vegetables, cheese, fruit and eggs) we examine their cultivation, their nutritional value and processing while performing some recipes (kalitsounia).
We pack our food supplies and off we  go…
14:30 Excursion to Kedrodasos – Elafonisi by minivan.
Free Time – Swimming – Resting at the beach.
16:30 Outdoor lunch. (We savour the snacks and the dishes we have prepared in the morning).
19:00-20:30 gentle Vinyasa Yoga flow next to the sea. Increase your fluidity and mindfullness experiencing the present moment at the most amazing scenary. Sunset meditation.
21:00 Return back to Milia Mountain Retreat.
22:00 light Dinner at Milia restaurant

4th day

7:30-9:00 morning Vinyasa Yoga: Rejuvenate your nervous system. Ward off the decaying of the body, increase the flexibility of your spine.
10:00  Departure for a local honeybee garden.
In situ presentation of the beehive and the special handling of the bees (protective equipment provided). We taste  thyme honey and pollen and enjoy the most healthy brunch; local herb tea with honey, sesame bar with honey, rakomelo (honey based alcohol shot) and season fruit.
12:00 Have a visit at a local Winery and Olive mill
We have a tour around the facilities while we learn about the charming process of  winemaking and olive oil. We taste authentic wines and extra virgin olive oil  with a snack.
14:30 We start all together the preparation of our vegeterian organic lunch. Pure extraordinary tastes of the cretan soil. How to eat healthy, tastefull, nutricious, toxin free.
18:30 Return back to Milia Mountain Retreat.
19:00-20:30 evening detox Hatha Yoga. Pranayama and specialized asanas to help us cleanse our mind and body.


5th day

7:00-08:30 morning Vinyasa Yoga – Partner Yoga. Deepen your practise with the help of your partner. Connect, trust, explore and play.

* Please let us know if there is any kind of allergies or other special diet requests.

We recommend to wear or have with you long pants and socks with closed shoes for the honey bee garden visit.The upper body protection will be given by us.
